Pros

This monitor lets you sleep peacefully or go about your day knowing that the baby’s movements are being monitored. It also gives you just about all the other information you could need with a temperature sensor and of course an audio monitor. It has many details such as a nightlight, paging system for the parent units and LCD screen on the parents unit. The battery backup power means you never have to be cut off from your baby by a power outage. Voice activation lets you save power and be notified when the baby makes noise. The price point for this monitor with all of the features it offers is very reasonable.

Cons

The movement sensor requires a solid base under the mattress to function properly. This may not be possible in certain bassinets or co-sleepers. False alarms can happen if the baby moves away from the motion sensor. With only 8 channels, even the two frequencies may not be enough to completely remove static or interference. No extra parent units are available.

With the many upgrades added from the original system, this monitor gives you all of the features of a high end audio monitor with the added comfort of motion sensing. If you worry about SIDS, this monitor will help you to relax and sleep better at night. It will also let you monitor sound and temperature as well. The only thing missing is video, which many argue isn’t needed with the motion sensor. The Graco Angelcare certainly earns the best baby monitor award from us.
